Glidden-Ralston Community School District's online registration gives families a more efficient experience and will not require an in – person visit. Paper forms are NOT available. Registration fees will be able to be paid online using Infinite Campus or mailed to the district office.
Families who MAY NOT have access to a computer/internet connection are encouraged to come to the office and a kiosk will be available for registration from 8 AM to 3 PM, Monday – Friday, beginning August 7th.
Step 1a: Please register for new or existing students. A video tutorial is available to assist you, if you need it.
NEW STUDENT ~ Use the Online Registration link to start the registration process.
OR
EXISTING STUDENTS ~ Please log-in to the PARENT PORTAL to access the online registration.
Step 1b: Complete the Parent/Guardian Consent Form and the Acceptable Use Policy & Gmail Agreement Forms.
Step 2: Pay fees and add funds to lunch accounts if needed.
Once your registration application has been approved & posted, the appropriate fees will be assigned to your parent portal.
Log in to your Parent Portal.
Select the fees tab.
Click the blue tab and add each child’s registration fee to your cart.
Then click the “Optional Payments” Button– select any optional payments for each student you would like to add to your cart. (Example activity passes)
Before you check out you will want to click on the ”food service” tab then click the blue “PAY” button to add lunch money to any account. If you would like to apply for free and reduced lunch, see the information below.

Step 3: Review the health requirements and complete the appropriate health forms for your child(ren).
Please review the required 2023-2024 Health Requirements for kindergarten, 3rd, 7th, 9th and 12th grade students.
Complete the Dental Screening Certificate for your kindergarten and 9th grade child.
Complete the Vision Screening Certificate for your kindergarten and 3rd grade child.
Review and complete the Iowa Immunization document for your kindergarten, 7th & 12th grade child.
Step 4: Provide the necessary school supplies for your child(ren).
Step 5: Sign up for school closing notifications.
Step 6: Athletic Registration through Varsity Bound
1. All athletic registrations must be completed online through Varsity Bound.
2. Go to this link: https://www.gobound.com/ia/schools/gliddenralston
a. Then click the registration tab.
b. You will then log into your Varsity Bound account or create one for new users.
c. Once logged in, you will click “Add a Student” and then search for your child’s name. Verify the information and hit “Connect to my Student”
d. If you are a new student or an incoming 7th grader, you will have to add that new student.
3. Also new this year, you can register for all sports that your child plans to participate in during the 2023-2024 school year.
4. There will be 4 main things that need to be filled out for your child.
a. General Information
i. Name, Parent/Guardian, Emergency Contact, Insurance Provider, etc.
b. Heads up Concussion Agreement
i. This is your acknowledgment that you’ve read the form.
c. Insurance Waiver Agreement
i. This is your acknowledgment that you’ve read the form and have provided your insurance provider on your child’s account.
d. Sports Physical
i. This is where you will upload the completed form from your physician of your child’s physical.
- You can download the form in your child’s account to take to your doctor.
- If you have trouble downloading the form, we have provided another link for the form below.
- The Iowa High School Athletic Association and the Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union have adopted a new physical form so if you're wondering if it looks like a new physical form, that’s because it is a new form.

Step 7: Sign up for free and reduced breakfast and lunch programs if you qualify.
Free and reduced price lunch and breakfast programs are available for eligible families. Eligible families are also allowed to file a school fee waiver/reduction. Please fill the waiver form out as well as the free-reduced lunch/breakfast application and return the application forms to the school office. We encourage you to apply, even if you are not sure about qualifying.
